Steam Quality definition

Steam Quality means the ratio of the mass of vapor to the total mass of a vapor-liquid mixture of water at its saturation temperature.

  • Except for steam from the Test Unit which will be delivered free to Aera, pursuant to Section 10, Greensteam shall calculate a monthly Incremental Energy Charge to convert all Aera-supplied Feedwater to Steam delivered at a Steam Quality of seventy percent (70%) or greater, as measured at the Site Boundary Interconnection Point.

  • Greensteam shall not be obligated to change the Steam Quality if, in its sole determination, the change would be detrimental to the Project.

  • Aera may not request a change in Steam Quality more than once per calendar month.

  • System Acceptance Testing: (a) Capacity – demonstrate 400,000 lbs/hour @ 175 PSIG with 1 degree Fahrenheit superheat; (b) Steam Quality – USDA Food Grade Water Treatment Chemicals; (d) Duration of system tests – over a period of one hour.
