State undertaking means a project, activity or program in which a state agency of the executive branch has direct or indirect jurisdiction; those in which a state agency provides financial assistance to a project or entity; and those in which a state agency is involved through the issuance of state permits or licenses.

Examples of State undertaking in a sentence

  • Comments pursuant to paragraph 2 or opinions pursuant to paragraph 3 shall be addressed to the Member State undertaking the screening ▌within a reasonable period of time, and in any case no later than 35 calendar ▌days following receipt of the information referred to in paragraph 1▌.
