Standby power source definition
Standby power source means an automatically actuated self-starting alternate energy source maintained in immediately operable condition and of sufficient capacity to provide necessary service during failure of the normal power supply.
Standby power source means equipment that is intended to be used for the purpose of producing power to maintain operating conditions when the power produced by the normal sources of power is cut off or reduced. O. Reg. 516/07, s. 16.
