Standards Development Organization definition

Standards Development Organization or "SDO" means an entity accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), such as ASC X-12, National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) and Health Level Seven (HL- 7), that is responsible for maintaining the structure and control elements of transactions, or any of its successors.
