Standardize definition

Standardize means to compare products or services with an established standard that conforms to the requirements of quality products or services that are regularly widely used, and available.
Standardize means ‘to maintain the sorted, organized, and clean state mentioned above.’
Standardize means that uniform ground rules are set based on the way operations are currently executed. The use of a standard allows results to be compared and deviations from plans to be quickly detected. Standardization also allows small continuous improvement activities (kaizen) to depart from a common ground (standard) which is used as a step to the next level (Figure 1).

Standardize means to convert each value in a set of observations (in this case, the output of a specific wind farm at various times) to an equivalent value that enables comparing one set of observations with another set (e.g., output of another wind farm). A value’s standardized equivalent indicates how much it de- viates from its group average.
