Standard violation means any of the following, as reported by the approved service provider:

A report by a Registered Entity of a violation of a Reliability Standard, based on its own assessment, in order to provide prompt reports of any Reliability Standard violation and the actions that were taken or will be taken to resolve the violation.
An action (other than a penalty or sanction) required by ReliabilityFirst that (1) is to bring a Registered Entity into compliance with a Reliability Standard or to avoid a Reliability Standard violation, and (2) is immediately necessary to protect the reliability of the bulk power system from an imminent threat.
