Standard room means accommodation with basic amenities such as proper lighting, toilet with running water, ventilation and door locking system.

Standard room means the class of hospital ward, which is categorized as standard by the Hospital in which the Insured Member or Insured Dependant is confined as an inpatient and shall not include luxury suites or other special rooms that exist at the Hospital in addition to standard room.
