Stand-By / On-Call definition

Stand-By / On-Call duty means that the member is reasonably available at the member’s home or elsewhere to be called back to active duty. It is the responsibility of the member performing stand-by / on-call duty to assure that the member may be contacted in order to be able to report for active duty. Approval for stand-by / on-call duty must be authorized by the Chief of Police or his designate.
