Stand-alone course definition
Stand-alone course means a course that is primarily dedicated to addressing the learning standards of a single subject area. Districts may not use a stand-alone course to allow students to meet credit graduation requirements in more than one subject areas, and a stand-alone course is not eligible for career and technical education course equivalency.
Stand-alone course means a course offered outside or independent of a total program of instruction for a dental school, hygiene program or assisting program that is approved by the Board and governed by educational regulations specific to the topic area.
