Stabilization pond definition

Stabilization pond means a wastewater treatment sys- tem consisting of large shallow earthen basins that use algae and aerobic, facultative, and anaerobic organisms for wastewater treatment. Stabilization ponds include, but are not limited to, those sized for a minimum of 150 days storage and have dis- charges in the spring and fall.
