Special Housing means bed assignments which are utilized for the purposes of disciplinary, protective or custodial management and secure confinement of inmates when a general population assignment is inappropriate or inadequate.

Examples of Special Housing in a sentence

  • For DPSST certified employees at OSP, all employees will be bid as one group whether in Special Housing or General Population.

  • In the course of its annual audits of SHU facilities the Office of Special Housing and Inmate Discipline will carry out training for SHMCs on new SHMC protocols and guidelines under this Agreement.

  • Additionally, the following non-exempt positions will not be subject to this section: Visiting Sergeant, Receiving and Discharge, Clothing Room Corporal, and Special Housing Unit positions.

  • It is not necessary to submit the Special Housing Accommodations Request Form or doctor's note to bring your own floor model unit.
