• Substitutes for aides will be provided in the following order: Inclusion, Special Day Class, and RSP.

• Special Education, Special Day Class, Full Inclusion and other mainstreamed students shall be equitably placed in classrooms.

• The parties agree that Special Day Class students who are integrated into regular education class, "mainstreamed", are placed in those classes based upon their IEPs. These students should be counted in the unit member- student ratio for class-loading purposes.

• In the case of Special Day Class and Full Inclusion students, there will be a maximum of three (3) students per class.

• In determining the appropriate class size for a Special Day Class, the District shall consider the following criteria: • Range and severity of disabilities/handicaps; • Student’s age and behavioral variables; • Extent of need for individual instruction; • Amount of time student is enrolled in special classes and/or participates in regular classrooms; and • Current class size.
