Spare Buses definition
Spare Buses means the Buses required to be procured and kept by the Operator as spares to replace any defective, damaged or dysfunctional Buses on the Routes, to maintain the number of working Buses plying on the Route.
Spare Buses means those buses used by a district for to- and from-school transportation services in the event of a mechanical failure in the primary bus fleet;

In addition to spare bus liability insurance coverage (POOL insurance), a spare bus maintenance stipend in the amount of $1,525 per bus will be provided for all County approved spare buses, which are under the County’s ‘Service Agreement for Reservation of Spare Buses for Non-Public Schools’.
For the avoidance of any doubts, it is clarified that all provisions of this Agreement apply mutatis mutandis to the Spare Buses.
