Sophisticated Technology definition

Sophisticated Technology means analytical instruments, detection systems, and/or preparation techniques requiring an advanced level of user understanding including gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS), inductively coupled plasma spectrometry (ICP), inductively coupled plasma/mass spectrometry (ICP/MS), liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS), atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AA), gas chromatography (GC), alpha particle or gamma ray spectrophotometry, electron microscopy (EM), polarized light microscopy (PLM), high pressure performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), bioanalytical assays, advanced molecular methods and other similar instruments or technologies.
Sophisticated Technology means analytical instruments, detection systems, and/or preparation techniques requiring an advanced level of user understanding including gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS), inductively coupled plasma spectrometry (ICP), inductively coupled plasma/mass spectrometry (ICP/MS), liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS), atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AA), gas chromatography (GC), alpha particle or gamma ray spectrophotometry, electron microscopy (EM), polarized light microscopy (PLM), high pressure performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), bioassay analyses utilizing aquatic organisms in toxicity testing, and other similar instruments or technologies.

  • Sophisticated Investor means a Customer who has successfully declared themselves as a sophisticated investor, which term is as defined in the ”Guidelines on Unlisted Capital Market Products under the Lodge and Launch Framework” issued by the Securities Commission Malaysia or the glossary section of the information memorandum of the relevant fund. Only sophisticated investor may invest in a Wholesale Fund.

  • Sophisticated Individual Accredited Investor means an individual who (a) is an accredited investor within the meaning of Regulation D under the Securities Act and (b) based on his or her pre-existing relationship with the Dealer, is reasonably believed by the Dealer to be a sophisticated investor (i) possessing such knowledge and experience (or represented by a fiduciary or agent possessing such knowledge and experience) in financial and business matters that he or she is capable of evaluating and bearing the economic risk of an investment in the Notes and (ii) having not less than $5 million in investments (as defined, for purposes of this section, in Rule 2a51-1 under the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended).

  • Developed Technology means any Technology including, without limitation, any enhancements, substitutions or improvements to the Core Technology that is (a) discovered, developed or otherwise acquired by DURA pursuant to the terms of the Development Agreement or (b) otherwise acquired by or on behalf of ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Corp. II during the term of the Development Agreement.

  • Controlled technical information means technical information with military or space application that is subject to controls on the access, use, reproduction, modification, performance, display, release, disclosure, or dissemination. Controlled technical information would meet the criteria, if disseminated, for distribution statements B through F using the criteria set forth in DoD Instruction 5230.24, Distribution Statements on Technical Documents. The term does not include information that is lawfully publicly available without restrictions.
