Social Claim definition

Social Claim means any message or representation, which is not mandatory under Union law or national law, including text, pictorial, graphic or symbolic representation, in any form, including labels, brand names, company names or product names, in the context of a commercial communication, which states or indicates that a product, company or trader has a positive or non- negative social impact or is less damaging to indigenous or vulnerable sectors of population than other products or traders, respectively, or has improved their impact over time;
Social Claim means any claim, proceeding or investigation by any party in respect of (i) material labour issues (ii) human rights issues or (iii) any other Social Law.
Social Claim means any claim or investigation by any governmental, judicial or regulatory authority or any other person which arises out of a Social Incident or an alleged Social Incident or which relates to any Social Law and, for this purpose, "claim" includes a claim for damages, compensation, contribution, injury, fines, losses and penalties or any other payment of any kind; an order or direction to take, or not to take, certain action or to desist from or suspend certain action; and any form of enforcement or regulatory action, including the arrest or attachment of any asset.
