Smart Serve definition

Smart Serve means the Smart Serve training program provided by Smart Serve Ontario for the responsible alcohol beverage service training of staff and volunteers. The Smart Serve Program is the only program recognized by the AGCO and approved by this Policy. See https://smartserve.ca/ for more information.
Smart Serve means an accreditation from the Provincial Government or its appointed agents, that the certificate holder has completed an approved course on serving liquor to the public.
Smart Serve means a training certificate program for all individuals in the province of Ontario who serve or work where Alcohol beverages are sold and served, developed by Smart Serve Ontario, a division of the Hospitality Industry Training Organization of Ontario, and endorsed by the AGCO;

Examples of Smart Serve in a sentence

  • The Renter must ensure all alcohol servers are Smart Serve certified.

  • If alcohol is going to be consumed at the Castleton Town Hall a Special Occasion Permit (S.O.P.) must be obtained from the LCBO, it is the renter’s responsibility to obtain the permit; the Township of Cramahe will require a copy of the S.O.P., insurance, and copies of your bartender(s) Smart Serve Certificate five days prior to the event.

  • The Town requires confirmation that all persons serving alcohol are Smart Serve trained.

  • CCC Bookings: The renter must provide a copy of both their Special Occasion Permit, liability insurance and a list of certified Smart Serve servers to the CCC Sport & Events Coordinator prior to the beginning of their event.

  • The on-site security has the right to check the Smart Serve card as well as photo ID.

  • To ensure that bar service is handled efficiently, only our Smart Serve certified bartenders will be permitted behind the bar.

  • All alcoholic beverages consumed in the club must be purchased from the club bar tended by a certified Smart Serve Lancaster Club Member.

  • The Renter must supply CSI with the identification # of the Smart Serve Certified individual who will be responsible for the distribution and consumption of alcohol during the Event.

  • The renter must provide a copy of both their Special Occasion Permit, personal alcohol liability insurance and a list of certified Smart Serve servers to the CCC Sport & Events Coordinator prior to the beginning of their event.

  • HFN recommends that the Renter has trained Smart Serve staff at the bar serving the alcohol, selling tickets and checking age of majority cards.
