Slugload definition
Slugload means any discharge that is non-routine or episodic and that has a reasonable potential to cause interference, pass-through, or violation of applicable local, state or federal regulations, including City local limits or conditions of the City’s NPDES permit. Slugloads include but are not limited to accidental spills and non-customary batch discharges.
Slugload means any substance released in a discharge at a rate and/or concentration which causes interference to a POTW.
Slugload. - shall mean any pollutant, including oxygen demanding pollutants (BOD, etc.) released in a discharge at a flow rate and/or pollutant concentration which will cause interference with the POTW.
More Definitions of Slugload
Slugload or “slug” shall mean any discharge at a flow, rate, or concentration which could cause a violation of the prohibited discharge standards (WCC 4.08.080), or any discharge of a non-routine, episodic nature, including but not limited to an accidental spill or a noncustomary batch discharge.
Slugload means any pollutant, including oxygen demanding pollutants (BOD, etc.) released in a single extraordinary discharge episode of such volume or strength as to cause interference to the Rocky River Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Slugload means any discharge of significant quantities of water, sewage, or industrial waste that in concentration of any constituent or quantity of flow could cause interference of the treatment works, pass through the POTW, endanger employee and public safety and health, contaminate the sludge, or cause a violation of any permit issued to the POTW.
