SLMB Plus definition

SLMB Plus means a SLMB who also meets the financial criteria for full Medicaid Coverage. SLMB Plus individuals are entitled to payment of Medicare Part B premiums, plus all benefits available under the Texas State Plan for fully eligible Medicaid recipients.
SLMB Plus. SLMBs that are entitled to Medicare Part A, have income of greater than 100% FPL, but less than 120% FPL and resources that do not exceed twice the limits for SSI eligibility, and are also eligible for full Medicaid coverage. Such individuals are entitled to Medicaid payment of the Medicare Part B premium, as well as full State Medicaid benefits.
SLMB Plus is an individual (i) who meets all the financial criteria for SLMBs and who also meets the financial criteria for full Medicaid coverage under the Medicaid State Plan. Under the Medicaid State Plan, a SLMB-Plus is eligible for full Medicaid benefits as well as financial assistance from the Agency in connection with certain Medicare benefits, including payment of Medicare Part B premiums. Medicare cost-sharing obligations may effectively be covered by state Medicaid benefit, but certain conditions must be met, including 1) the service is also covered Medicaid, 2) the provider is also a Medicaid provider, and 3) the Medicaid fee schedule amount is greater than the Medicare amount paid,

  • CHAMPUS means the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Uniformed Service, a part of TRICARE, a medical benefits program supervised by the U.S. Department of Defense.
