Section Sixth Shift Operations When all employees in the Highway Department have worked five (5) shifts, senior employees will be given the first opportunity to work on sixth (6") shift operations.
Sixth Shift and Unscheduled Saturday One and one-half the hourly rate will be paid for the eight hours paid on the shift and on Saturday.
Day Shift means a shift which commences at or after 6.00 am and before 10.00 am. "Afternoon shift" means a shift which commences at or after 10.00 am and before 4.00 pm.
Shift means a daily tour of duty exclusive of overtime hours.
Night Shift means a shift which commences at or after 4.00 pm and before 6.00 am on the day following.
Afternoon shift means any shift finishing after 6.00 p.m. and at or before midnight.
distance contract means any contract concluded between the trader and the consumer under an organised distance sales or service-provision scheme without the simultaneous physical presence of the trader and the consumer, with the exclusive use of one or more means of distance communication up to and including the time at which the contract is concluded;
