Sibling means each of two (2) or more children having a parent in common by blood, adoption, marriage, or foster care.
Mother means the mother or expectant mother of the child.
Siblings means brothers or sisters. They are defined as children with at least one natural or adoptive parent in common, living at the same or a different address. Children living permanently in the same household at the same address would also be counted as siblings, regardless of their actual relationship to each other. To qualify as a sibling a child must be on the roll of the school in question at the date of application, allocation and admission.
Son or “daughter” means a biological, adopted, or foster child, stepchild, a legal ward, or a child of a person standing in loco parentis, who is either under age eighteen or age eighteen or older and incapable of self-care because of a mental or physical disability at the time that FMLA leave is to commence.
ESFA means the Education and Skills Funding Agency.
Incest means sexual intercourse between persons who are related to each other within the degrees wherein marriage is prohibited by law.

Grandparent means the parent of an Employee’s Parent.

Stepparent means a person who is not the parent of the dependent child, but is the legal spouse of the dependent child’s parent by ceremonial or common-law marriage.
