SISC definition

SISC means the Commission approved charge as specified in Section 4.8 intended to cover, in whole or in part, the cost of integrating uncontrolled and non-dispatchable solar capacity into the System, and to assign such costs to solar generation facilities whose integration is causing the increased costs.
SISC is defined in Section 4.610. The SISC is designed to recognize the impact on Duke Energy’s operating reserves (or generation ancillary service requirements) of integrating existing and new variable and non-dispatchable solar capacity, and to assign such costs to solar QFs whose integration is causing the increased operating costs.
