Silver rating definition

Silver rating means the rating in compliance with, or exceeding, the third highest rating awarded by the USGBC LEED certification process.

Examples of Silver rating in a sentence

  • New construction shall be designed at a minimum to meet the point equivalent of a LEED Silver rating.

  • The Project is being designed for sustainability and to the standards of LEED Silver rating including full participation in the formal LEED certification process from the Working Drawings Phase through the Construction Phase.

  • Upon final completion of the Project should the Project not be able to obtain a LEED Silver rating, and the deficiencies cannot be corrected to obtain said rating, the City shall deduct as Liquidated Damages 5% of the cost of the Project to offset the increased cost of materials used in the effort to meet the LEED Silver rating.

  • The Design Build Firm will incorporate in both the design and construction the requirements for the Project to obtain a LEED Silver rating.

  • Developer shall obtain at least a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (“LEED”) Silver rating from the U.S. Green Building Council (“USGBC”) with respect to the Base Shell and Core Buildings, and shall use commercially reasonably efforts to obtain a LEED Silver rating for those improvements.

  • Any period of delay in the overall progress or design, construction and completion of the Project resulting from the need to redesign elements of the Project or change construction materials or methodology in order to achieve a LEED Silver rating for the shall not constitute Owner-Caused Delay.

  • Notwithstanding the Owner’s request for a LEED Silver rating, if it is determined during any time period of the design effort that a Silver rating is either impracticable and/or infeasible, a Certified Level shall be obtained as a minimum.

  • Where the Project fails to obtain a LEED Silver rating due to errors or omissions in the design or where the Consultant fails to perform the required Scope of Work under this Agreement, the City shall be entitled to recover all costs relating to the LEED Certification.

  • MSR shall use good faith efforts to cause the Project to meet a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (“LEED”) Gold rating, but in any case shall cause the Project to meet a LEED Silver rating, each as in effect as of the date of permit intake.

  • City shall not be liable for cost associated with design revisions necessary to obtain the LEED Silver rating.
