Sign base definition

Sign base means the post(s) or supporting structure between the ground and the background or frame (if present) of a freestanding or monument sign.

Related to Sign base

  • Sign area means the total surface area within the outer periphery of the said sign, and in the case of a sign comprised of individual letters or symbols, shall be calculated as the area of a rectangle enclosing the letters or symbols. Frames and structural members not bearing advertising matter shall not be included in computation of surface area.

  • Sign face means the surface of a sign including the border or frame together with any material forming an integral part of the background used to differentiate the sign from the backdrop or building on which it is erected. Where a sign is composed of individually installed letters, numerals or shapes, the sign face shall mean the area of the smallest polygon containing a maximum of eight (8) right angle sides that enclose all of the letters, numerals or shapes; (0438-2003, 0203-2017)

  • Design-Builder means the Person/Firm(s)/Joint Venture selected pursuant to the RFP that enters into the Contract with the Department to design and construct the Project.

  • Sign height means the vertical distance from the ground directly below the sign measured to the highest extremity of the sign, including the sign structure;

  • Design-build means the procurement of design professional services and construction by the use of a single contract.
