  • Sign area means the total surface area within the outer periphery of the said sign, and in the case of a sign comprised of individual letters or symbols, shall be calculated as the area of a rectangle enclosing the letters or symbols. Frames and structural members not bearing advertising matter shall not be included in computation of surface area.

  • Sign face means the surface of a sign including the border or frame together with any material forming an integral part of the background used to differentiate the sign from the backdrop or building on which it is erected.   • Sign-off means a notice in writing from the Regulator, in respect of an area, that post-harvest obligations no longer apply in respect of that area.
