Shop Craft Only. For continuous service after regular working hours, employees will be paid time and one-half on the actual minute basis with a minimum of one hour at straight time rate for any such service performed. Running Trades Only All time in excess of eight hours continuous service in a twenty-four hour period shall be paid for as overtime on the minute basis at one and one-half times the hourly rate. Work performed in excess of sixteen hours duration during a twenty-four hour period will be compensated at double time rates; straight time allowance again becoming effective at the starting time of an employee's regular shift. There will be no pyramiding of premium payments. Shop employees called or required to report for work and reporting will, whether used or not, be allowed a minimum of three hours at the prevailing overtime rate, for three hours or less, and will be required to do only such work as called for or other emergency work have developed after they were called and cannot be performed by the regular force in time to avoid delays in train movement. In the event of an emergency situation near the end of a shift, every effort will be made to avoid overtime, existing crews will not be required to work more than three hours overtime. Scheduled employees required to change from one shift to another and commencing work within twenty-four hours of the original starting time will be paid overtime rates for the first shift at each change. There will be no pyramiding of payments.
