Shipper/Consignee definition

Shipper/Consignee means the Party that gives the notice to Ship and that also takes custody of the product at the delivery destination. If the Shipper and Consignee are different Parties then 2.1.54 and 2.1.11 shall apply respectfully, as defined by each Party’s activity.

Examples of Shipper/Consignee in a sentence

  • Shipper/Consignee for CY origin shipments shall be jointly severally and absolutely liable for any fine, penalty or other sanction imposed upon carrier, its agent motor/rail carrier by authority for exceeding lawful over-the-weight limitations in connection with any transportation services provided under this tariff and occasioned by any act of commission or omission of the shipper/consignee, its agent or contractors, and without regard to intent, negligence or any other factor.

  • Shipper/Consignee requests carrier to provide economy service, in which case shipments will be delivered not less than 4 days slower than if shipped by carrier's regular service.

  • Shipper/Consignee must instruct carrier to provide economy service for all shipments of a specific tariff line item.

  • Shipper/Consignee requests for economy service must be made at the time of shipment.

  • Such substituted service or transfer arrangement shall NOT result either directly or indirectly in any lessening or increasing of the cost or expense which the Shipper/Consignee would have borne had the cargo moved through the port originally intended and listed on the Bill of Lading.

  • CARRIER waives any tariff or legislated right to sue or pursue the Shipper/Consignee for amounts owing to it.

  • CARRIER agrees that it shall not ▇▇▇▇ the shipper/consignee or any third party directly nor shall it accept payment from any Shipper/Consignee or any third party for providing transportation under this Agreement.
