Shift Schedules. Civic Centre Recreation Complex Employees Shift schedules shall be as revised and agreed upon by the Parties to the Agreement. A copy of the shift schedule shall be supplied to all those concerned. Such employees shall be entitled to two (2) consecutive days off, to be taken at such time as may be mutually agreed upon by the Parties to the Agreement. It is agreed by the Parties that employees may exchange shifts provided that a Supervisor, or a person above the rank of Supervisor, is consulted before it is done. The normal hours of work are stated solely for the purpose of calculating overtime, and shall not be construed as a guarantee of any minimum nor as a restriction on any maximum number of hours to be worked.

Shift Schedules. The Shift schedules for those employees who are regularly scheduled to work on certain days and times will be posted two (2) weeks in advance of their taking effect. The shift schedules shall cover a six (6) week period and may be subject to amendment by the Employer in accordance with the Employer's commitments. No amendments will be made without prior notification within a reasonable period of time. It is understood by the parties that during the vacation period in any year, in order to maintain a continuity of treatment and care, employees may be scheduled to work shifts that would exceed twenty-four (24) hours per week, with the understanding that the scheduling in the other months of the year will adhere to the twenty-four (24) hours per week limitation. Supervisor approved work performed in excess of seven and one-half (7 hours in a day or seventy-five (75) hours in a pay period will be counted as overtime work and will be paid for at the rate of time and one-half the employee's regular rate. The Employer does not guarantee to provide employment or work for normal hours or for any other hours.

If employees are sent home during normal working hours because of maximum daily hours worked, they will be paid their normal days wages at the regular hourly rate for all normal hours not worked.

• An Employee will be paid for all overtime hours worked on any day worked in excess of the work ratio pursuant to the Shift Schedules Article of this Collective Agreement.

• Shift Schedules will be posted on the Operations Building bulletin board by end of the business day Tuesday except in weeks where a statutory holiday falls on the Monday and/or Tuesday.

• Whenever the Employer makes up shifts schedules, it will consider Alternative Shift Schedules proposed by the Union in response.
