SHGC definition

SHGC means solar heat gain coefficient, which is the fraction of incident solar radiation admitted through a window, both directly transmitted and absorbed and subsequently released inward.

Examples of SHGC in a sentence

  • Fenestration utilized as part of a passive solar design shall be exempt from the U-factor and SHGC requirements, and shall be excluded from area-weighted averages calculated using a) and b), above.
