Shared housing definition

Shared housing means a dwelling unit with two or more bedrooms that is occupied by more than one person or household which share the housing cost for the dwelling.

Shared housing means housing consisting of two or more families occupying a single dwelling and using common cooking facilities. Shared housing shall permit the same number of families at the same density as allowed in the zoning district where the property is located subject to all applicable codes relating to building, housing, life safety, health and zoning as would be applied to independent living units located in the same structure.   • Supportive housing means housing with no limit on length of stay, that is occupied by the target population, and that is linked to an onsite or offsite service that assists the supportive housing resident in retaining the housing, improving his or her health status, and maximizing his or her ability to live and, when possible, work in the community.

For purposes of this section, 2 types of manufactured housing are included. Those 2 types are:

  • Housing Provider means, with respect to a HOME Development, Local Government, consortia approved by HUD under 24 CFR Part 92, for-profit and Non-Profit Developers, and qualified CHDOs, with demonstrated capacity to construct or rehabilitate affordable housing.
