sharat which literally means “to wait on” or “serve”. A related Hebrew word is „ebed‟ which has a more general meaning than „sharat‟.‟ Ebed‟ means “work” or “work the ground”. God‟s call to Abram contains the foundations to ministry. His intension was to raise a nation through Abram whom He will bless and who will use their blessings to minister to other nations.
