Severely Errored Second definition

Severely Errored Second means a full second with a bit error ratio greater or equal to 1 in 1000; Target Service Commencement Date means the target date that Customer would like the Services to be delivered by Supplier;
Severely Errored Second means a block of frames observed during a one second interval when the ratio of lost frames to total frames exceeds a certain pre-defined threshold value.

Examples of Severely Errored Second in a sentence

  • A SONET Severely Errored Second ("SSES") is any one-second interval in which 2400 or more STS Path BIP errors were detected, AIS-P, LOP-P, or lower level, traffic related near end defect is detected in accordance with Telecordia Technologies Generic Criteria GR-253-CORE, Section 6.2.2.5.1. The number of Severely Errored Seconds shall not exceed eight (8) in a twenty-four hour period averaged over one month (720 hours).

  • Severely Errored Second (SES) means a one-second period, which contains 30% errored blocks.
