Set Shift Worker definition

Set Shift Worker means an employee who is not a Shift Worker or Day Worker as defined, who does not work rolling shifts across seven days in the week per roster cycle, however does work set shifts which may on a regular basis include Sundays and Public Holidays Nominal hours of work means the employee’s minimum contracted hours of work per week, which may be averaged over the period of a week, a fortnight or a month. By mutual Agreement with an individual, nominal hours may also be averaged over a greater period, but no more than 12 months, to allow for business operational fluctuations and accommodate the personal commitments of an Employee. Nominal hours do not include overtime worked by an Employee. Basic Periodic Rate of Pay means the Hourly Rate relevant to the employee’s classification as contained within Schedule 1. The Base periodic rate of pay excludes overtime payments, penalty rates for shiftwork, allowances, casual loadings, weekend penalties, payment for public holidays and other such part payments.
