SET Card definition

SET Card means Sampath Electronic Teller Card. “ATM” means an automated teller machine and includes any Card-operated machine, whether belonging to the Bank or other participating banks or financial institutions or to any Global ATM Network, which accepts the Card. We, our and us mean Sampath Bank PLC. You, your, Cardmember means the person to whom the Card is issued and includes the Basic Cardmember and each and every Supplementary Cardmember(s) where the context requires. We use headings in this agreement for ease for reference but this agreement is not to be interpreted by reference to the headings.

  • Smart Card means a Debit Card that has an embedded integrated circuit that can process data and protect the cardholder from fraudulent use.

  • Debit Card means a card, including a Smart Card, issued by the Financial Institution that allows the holder of the card to deposit cash and/or Instruments or withdraw cash from the Account through an ATM, authorize Transactions on the Account through an ATM, and that operates like an Instrument to purchase goods and services from merchants.

  • Payment card means a credit card, charge card, debit card, or any other card that is issued to an authorized card user and that allows the user to obtain, purchase, or receive goods, services, money, or anything else of value from a merchant.

  • SIM Card means the subscriber identity module which when used with the appropriate mobile phone handset enables you to access the Network.

  • Card means credit, debit, smart or other charge or pre-paid cards branded as follows: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Visa Debit, Solo, Maestro (subject to the Codes of Practice).
