Servlet definition

Servlet means a Java class provided by TWTI that runs on a server in a Java Virtual Machine, that receives the design output sequences from the Applet, and which may be programmed to store such output on the server or at a storage location accessible to the server, including any updates, improvements, enhancements, and modifications that are provided by TWTI for purposes of providing such functionality or that are made by ACLA in accordance with this Agreement. Except to the extent otherwise expressly stated in this Agreement, Servlet shall mean software only in machine readable format.

  • In particular a DRIVER Node consists of Java Servlet container (for example, Apache Tomcat) running a Hosting Node Manager Service (HNM).

  • The core web server in the platform is Internet Information Server (IIS), integrated with Apache Tomcat Servlet Container (Tomcat) version 7 in order to enable architecture components such as the search server SOLR.

  • DRIVER Services implement a special DRIVER class Service (but may also not) and run on a DRIVER Node as Servlet Container WebApps.

  • It can be used to simulate a heavy load on a server, group of servers, network or object (e.g. Java objects, Java Servlet, databases etc..) to test its strength or to analyze overall performance under different load types.

  • ACLA shall provide to TWTI in advance the compatible network address of the server on which the Servlet will be installed so that the Applet may be configured to send its output to the Servlet consistent with TWTI's then current lead time.

  • The major components are • Database server (see system design document) • JEE Application server, containing the Servlet container • Enterprise Information Portal, containing the Portlet container • LDAP server • Map server (see system design document) • Web Services - * (Interoperability, Security) (see system design document) • The Database server is running Postgresql 8.3 (with postgis extensions).

  • Additionally, while the Applet currently performs probe design processing on the local computer on which the Applet is installed, TWTI understands that ACLA desires that a Servlet be provided that includes additional functionality that would enable the user to save output files directly to a programmable location, rather than being sent to the Host Software.
