Service drive definition

Service drive means a driveway entering a street from a drive-in business establishment or from an off-street parking area, excluding residential driveways serving fewer than five dwelling units.
Service drive means a public street generally parallel and contiguous to a main traveled way, primarily designed to promote safety by eliminating promiscuous ingress and egress to the right-of-way, and providing safe and orderly points of access at fairly uniformly spaced intervals.

Service drive means a street abutting and parallel to a primary arterial or a collector street which is designed to provide access to abutting property and not to provide access to the arterial except at intersections. (Ord. 594 §2(part), 1998).
