SERVICE COMPUTATION DATE (SCD) definition
SERVICE COMPUTATION DATE (SCD). A date that represents the amount of government service an employee has that is creditable toward eligibility for a specific benefit or entitlement. An employee may have several SCD’s, for example: SCD-Leave, SCD-Retirement, SCD-WGI, SCD-TSP, and SCD-RIF, since the formulas to calculate the various SCDs depend on the eligibility requirements of the specific benefit. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ (UNION OR SHOP ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇): An appointed or elected Union representative who performs Union representational and contract interpretation functions on behalf of bargaining unit employees. Stewards are fellow bargaining unit employees who are trained by the Union to carry out these duties. SUPPLEMENTS: Additional articles, negotiated during the term of this Master Agreement, to cover matters not adequately covered by this Master Agreement.
