Seniority Section definition

Seniority Section means the area in which the employee works as is identified by the main headings of the wage chart in Article 13, i.e. 360 Restaurant, Kitchen etc.

Examples of Seniority Section in a sentence

  • The forty-eight (48) hour notice of lay-off provided in the Seniority Section of this Agreement shall take precedence when an employee is laid off on a Thursday.

  • Selection for such vacancies shall be subject to Article 12, Seniority, Section 2.

  • Seniority, Section 4.7 of the Agreement, will apply between the canine officers with regard to their scheduled days off on the available shift and shall also apply between the canine officers with respect to scheduling vacation leave.

  • In the event of a contraction of the work force covered by this Agreement, employees shall be laid off in order of inverse seniority within their work division as defined in Article 28 Seniority, Section 2.

  • During periods of low census when the Employer needs to call off an Employee or Employees and the Employer are aware prior to the beginning of the next shift that an Employee will need to be called off, the Employer will follow the process defined in Article 8, Seniority, Section 8.4 and will give Employees at least two (2) hours’ notice by phone before the starting time that the Employee is scheduled to report for work.

  • Positions shall be filled in accordance with Article 3 - Seniority, Section 1 of this Agreement.

  • Such employee’s seniority will be frozen upon the date of departure and shall be recaptured in accordance with the provisions set forth in Article VI Seniority, Section 4, effective the date of return, provided the employee notifies the Authority of any change in status, regarding departure from the employee’s Union position, within two (2) weeks of the change.

  • The two (2) weeks notice of lay-off provided in the Seniority Section of this Agreement shall take precedence when an employee is laid off on a Thursday.

  • A newly hired Employee who is assigned to one (1) or more daily runs and has not completed his/her probationary period as specified in Article 6, Seniority, Section A, Probationary Employees.

  • For the purpose of this article only, an employee's continuous service shall be the employees unbroken service as established in the Seniority Section.
