Seed evaluation definition
Seed evaluation means evaluation of agricultural seed to determine seed composition, purity, germination percentage, hard seed percentage, dormant seed percentage, weed seed con- tent, inert matter content, or other characteristics for purposes of seed labeling, regulatory compliance or enforcement under this chapter. “Seed evaluation” includes seed sampling, inspection, analysis, testing and examination. “Seed evaluation” includes evaluation by seed labelers and by the department.
