Second Written Warning definition

Second Written Warning. The second time a given opportunity for improvement is discussed with an associate, formal, written documentation of this incident will be once more developed on the prescribed warning document. Copies of this warning notice, will be placed in the associate’s file and provided to the associate in question, as well as the Local 408 office. Notwithstanding any of the foregoing, if the associate in unavailable for verbal conversations, the Company may issue a written warning. Written notice will be provided and the progressive disciplinary process will continue.
Second Written Warning. (given to the employee and a copy placed in the employee’s Suspension (notice to be given to the employee and the Union in writing with reasons within one (1) working day of the suspension). At the employer’s discretion, employee’s annual leave balance can be used in lieu of an unpaid suspension. Second Written Warning. If no satisfactory improvement is recorded after the first written warning, at the recommendation of the immediate Manager, the CHRO shall issue second written warning. This Letter of Warning shall refer to the first instance and shall contain all grounds for which it is being issued, facts and evidence that point to conditions being met for dismissal and warning on the termination of the Employment Contract.

Examples of Second Written Warning in a sentence

  • The following describes the formal corrective action steps and is not intended to cover the informal coaching and counseling which may precede formal corrective action: • Verbal Warning • First Written Warning • Second Written Warning • Discharge In most situations, each step is followed in progression (i.e., verbal, first written, second written, and then, if necessary, discharge).

  • If not, the Second Written Warning of this procedure shall be applied.

  • The employee receives a Second Written Warning on August 15th and a Final Written Warning/Suspension on November 1st.

  • The First Written Warning, the Second Written Warning, and the Final Written Warning/Suspension will remain active in the employees file for nine months from the date of the Final Written Warning /Suspension, if the employee has no further disciplinary action for nine months, all three (3) disciplinary actions will become inactive on July 1st.).

  • A meeting will be held with the employee, the supervisor or manager, and the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or the Union’s Branch President, at which time a Second Written Warning will be given to the employee, with a copy to the Union, unless the employee waives Union representation.

  • If the employee fails to make the necessary improvements within the required timescale, or where the misconduct is regarded as more serious, the employee will be issued with a Second Written Warning for a period of twelve months.

  • Stage 2 - Second Written Warning If the conduct or performance does not improve within the stated time, or in the event of a repeated or more serious offence, the employee’s supervisor/manager will interview the employee and, if necessary issue a written warning.
