Science faculty definition

Science faculty means an individual or individuals who are health professional staff or employees of the Hospital and appointed in a Faculty or Department at the University. Health Science faculty are not Clinical faculty (physician) or Dentistry faculty.

Examples of Science faculty in a sentence

  • For the purposes of this section, Science faculty are defined as those who teach in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

  • The University will not give University appointments to Health Science faculty without first obtaining the consent of the Hospital’s President and Chief Executive Officer or her/his delegate.

  • In particular, Health Science faculty supervising University graduate students (doctoral, doctoral-stream masters) with respect to their graduate work must also hold an appointment in the School of Graduate Studies.

  • The University may develop further policies and guidelines governing Health Science faculty.

  • Those Health Science faculty holding appointments at the Hospital who teach University Students and are responsible for a University course or a substantial part of a course and/or grade Students must qualify for and hold University appointments in the appropriate Faculty of the University at such ranks and of such categories as the University may determine.

  • If a Health Science faculty member ceases to hold an appointment at the University, the ▇▇▇▇ of the appropriate Faculty at the University will inform the Hospital of this change, and if a Health Science faculty member ceases to hold an appointment at the Hospital, the Hospital will inform the University of this change.

  • In cases where there are fewer than three (3) tenured faculty who are qualified under departmental guidelines to make a particular recommendation, the Department faculty may, in consultation with the ▇▇▇▇, choose other ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ School of Applied Science faculty or appropriate faculty from outside the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ School of Applied Science to serve on the Department Promotion and Tenure Committee for consideration of those particular cases.

  • Health and Exercise Science faculty may be assigned up to six (6) contact hours of overload per semester.

  • The Chairperson shall inform the candidate and the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ School of Applied Science faculty of both the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ School of Applied Science Promotion and Tenure Committee’s and the TSAS Director’s final recommendations.

  • If a Health Science faculty member ceases to hold an appointment at the University, the ▇▇▇▇ of the appropriate Faculty at the University will inform the Hospital of this change.
