School-based services definition

School-based services means medically necessary health-related and rehabilitative services that are provided by a qualified school provider to a student under the age of twenty- one (21), pursuant to an Individualized Education Program (IEP), in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. See Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC) 317:30-5-1020.
School-based services means those therapy services, nursing services, psychiatric/psychological screenings, and well-child screenings, rendered to children who qualify for these services under the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (20 USC § 1471 et seq.) by (i) employees of the school divisions or (ii) providers that subcontract with school divisions.
School-based services includes evaluation and physical, speech and occupational therapy furnished in a school-based setting, but not when specified in the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), as set forth in HSD/MAD regulations, 8.320.6 NMAC, SCHOOL-BASED SERVICES FOR RECIPIENTS UNDER 21 YEARS OF AGE. “Service Coordination” is person-centered and intended to support Members in pursing their desired life outcomes by assisting them in accessing support and services necessary to achieve the quality of life that they desire, in a safe and healthy environment. Service Coordination assists Members in gaining access to needed CLTS waiver services, Medicaid State Plan services, and medical, social, educational, and other services, regardless of the funding source for the services to which access is needed. This is both a 1915(b) and 1915(c) waiver service.
