SCHIP definition

SCHIP means the State Childrens’ Health Insurance Program, a federal/state matching program that provides health care coverage to children not otherwise covered by Medicaid or other insurance programs and that may be administered by states through their Medicaid programs.
SCHIP means that government-sponsored entitlement program under Title XXI of the Balanced Budget Act of 1997 known as the State Children's Health Insurance Program.
SCHIP means State Children’s Health Insurance Program. As used in Rules 59B-13.001 through 59B-13.006, SCHIP excludes Medicaid patients.

Examples of SCHIP in a sentence

  • A state Medicaid plan or under a state child health insurance program (SCHIP), including the Healthy Families Program or the Access for Infants and Mothers (AIM) Program.
