Satellite Network definition

Satellite Network means a Satellite System or part of a Satellite System, consisting of only one Satellite and the cooperating Earth Station;
Satellite Network means a Satellite System or part of a Satellite System, consisting of only one Satellite and the cooperating Earth Stations.
Satellite Network means the satellite network operated by Optus Networks Pty Limited or such other company and used for the delivery of FOXTEL’s digital Subscription Television Services via satellite.

More Definitions of Satellite Network

Satellite Network means a configuration of two or more earth stations which interwork by means of a satellite;
Satellite Network means the satellite-based communications network owned, leased or otherwise controlled by, and operated by, Motient Services, and consisting of the flight satellite, certain earth stations, gateways and other ground elements, control systems including telemetry, tracking and control systems and network operations centers, and the related hardware, software and networking resources which are used collectively to provide the Satellite Services. The Satellite Network shall automatically include any additions or modifications to the Satellite Network made from time to time during the normal course of Motient Service's business.
Satellite Network means a space satellite telecommunications network including an uplink to an Australian Space Object or Foreign Space Object as the case may be and downlinks to satellite dishes, for carrying communications to Set Top Units (which Set Top Units form part of the network, and are the only conditional access customer equipment to which the Infrastructure Operator's Subscription Television Services are carried by the network) that is owned or controlled by the Infrastructure Operator (except for the satellite transponder capacity on an Australian Space Object or Foreign Space Object which must be owned, controlled or used by the Infrastructure Operator under a licence, lease or service agreement) (excluding any part or parts of any Satellite Network owned, controlled or operated by FOXTEL, its Related Body Corporates or assigns, or used by Austar to provide the Austar Services). Set Top Units (STUs) means conditional access customer equipment (as defined in Part XIC of the Trade Practices Act 1974) owned or controlled by the Infrastructure Operator, used for receiving Subscription Television Services.
Satellite Network means the medium in which a media service is transmitted via satellite capacity to receivers.
Satellite Network means all or any part of the terrestrial or Satellite based communications network over which Morsviazsputnik Services are offered, whether directly or indirectly owned or operated by the Satellite Communication Enterprise, or via or in conjunction with third parties;

  • Satellite means any satellite owned by the Issuer or any of its Restricted Subsidiaries and any satellite purchased by the Issuer or any of its Restricted Subsidiaries pursuant to the terms of a Satellite Purchase Agreement, whether such satellite is in the process of manufacture, has been delivered for launch or is in orbit (whether or not in operational service).

  • Satellite services means communications capabilities that utilize an on-orbit satellite for transmitting the signal from one location to another.

Where an Eligible Customer has elected not to designate a particular load at discrete points of delivery as Network Load, the Eligible Customer is responsible for making separate arrangements under Tariff, Part II for any Point-To-Point Transmission Service that may be necessary for such non-designated load.

  • Antenna means communications equipment that transmits or receives electromagnetic radio frequency signals used in the provision of wireless services.

  • Open Wireless Network means any network or segment of a network that is not designated by the State of New Hampshire’s Department of Information Technology or delegate as a protected network (designed, tested, and approved, by means of the State, to transmit) will be considered an open network and not adequately secure for the transmission of unencrypted PI, PFI, PHI or confidential DHHS data.

  • Customer System means the Customer's computing environment (consisting of hardware, software and/or telecommunications networks or equipment) used by the Customer or the Supplier in connection with this Contract which is owned by or licensed to the Customer by a third party and which interfaces with the Supplier System or which is necessary for the Customer to receive the Services;

  • Transponder means an access device used to gain entry to the parking facility;

  • telecommunications network means any wire, radio, optical, or other electromagnetic system used to route, switch, or transmit telecommunications;

  • Connectivity means the provision of a Permanent Separated Bicycle Lane system that reflects desired routes between all major origins and destinations in the city.

  • Area network means a type of electric distribution system served by multiple transformers interconnected in an electrical network circuit, which is generally used in large metropolitan areas that are densely populated, in order to provide highly reliable service. Area network has the same meaning as the term "distribution secondary grid network" found in institute of electrical and electronics engineers (IEEE) standard 1547 sub clause 4.1.4.

  • public telecommunications network means the public telecommunications infrastructure which enables signals to be conveyed between defined network termination points by wire, by microwave, by optical means or by other electromagnetic means;

  • Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN means a switched network service that provides end-to-end digital connectivity for the simultaneous transmission of voice and data. Basic Rate Interface-ISDN (BRI-ISDN) provides for a digital transmission of two (2) 64 Kbps bearer channels and one (1) 16 Kbps data channel (2B+D).

  • Spacecraft (7 9) means active and passive satellites and space probes.
