Sanitize/Sanitization definition
Sanitize/Sanitization means a process of reducing the number of microorganisms on cleaned surfaces and equipment to a safe level, as judged by public health standards and which has been approved by the Department.
Sanitize/Sanitization means a treatment of the cleanable surfaces of equipment by a product registered with the United States Environmental Protection Agency and which has been approved by the Livingston County Health Division as being effective in reducing the number of microorganisms to a safe level.
Sanitize/Sanitization means to adequately treat food-contact adequate treatment of surfaces by a process that is effective in destroying vegetative cells of microorganisms of public health significance and in substantially reducing the number of other microorganisms but without.
