Safe Work Permit definition

Safe Work Permit means a permit that authorizes certain types of work that may be potentially dangerous to building occupants or disruptive to the building services and operations.
Safe Work Permit is required for all work activities conducted in or around Plant process areas, and for other work as required by Plant Management. Permits must be issued before the work begins, and may only be issued by UPR personnel. Contractors must be familiar with and comply with Safe Work Permit program requirements when working at U.S. Gas Plant facilities.
