Running Clock definition

Running Clock means that time does not stop except for touchdowns, time-outs, and injuries. The clock will stop in accordance to GHSA Rules the last two (2) minutes of the 2nd & 4th quarters. Example: out-of-bounds & incomplete passes.

  • If play is interrupted due to a fight or a display of aggression by either team, the clock will continue to run during the altercation and it will be stopped immediately after order is restored in accordance with Rule F – Running Clock and Game Stoppage.
