Rub down definition

Rub down means the rubbing of newly prepared surfaces, or surfaces of existing paint remaining after preparation for redecoration, with approved waterproof glass paper, pumice stone or similar, to give a true and keyed surface for new paint.

  • Shut down means a condition or conditions wherein a piece of equipment or system cannot be operated by the device or control that a homeowner should normally use to operate it.
