Rotating shift work definition

Rotating shift work means work regularly rotated in accordance with a roster which prescribes 2 or more shifts (day, afternoon or night) each day, but does not cover a 24 hour per day operation over a 7 day week.
Rotating shift work means a regular shift pattern covering, dayshifts and afternoon/nightshifts which does not include working on Public Holidays or RDOs as a part of the normal roster of works.
Rotating shift work means an Employee that works a shift roster covering two or more shifts (day, afternoon and/or night) during the twenty shift work cycle;

  • Shift Work is defined as the same work performed by two or more employees or two or more successive sets or groups of employees working successive periods.

  • Work Week means a seven (7) consecutive day week that consistently begins and ends on the same days throughout the year, i.e. Sunday through Saturday, Wednesday through Tuesday, Friday through Thursday.

  • Extra Work means any work which is determined by City to be necessary for the proper completion of the Project, but which the Parties did not reasonably anticipate would be necessary at the execution of this Agreement. Consultant shall not perform, nor be compensated for, Extra Work without written authorization from City’s Representative.

  • job work means any treatment or process undertaken by a person on goods belonging to another registered person and the expression “job worker” shall be construed accordingly;

  • Hot Work means the performance of welding, thermal or oxygen cutting, grinding, flame heating or any other activities of a similar nature.
