Employees working on the Heavy Rescue who are certified in Confined Space Rescue Operational, Trench Rescue, Technical Rope Rescue and Rescue Systems and/or courses mandated by the State and/or NFPA 1670 shall receive $170.00 biweekly.
Effective upon the signing of this agreement, February 20, 2007, employees bid to the Laughlin fire stations, who have obtained and maintained technician level certification through the Nevada State Fire Marshal’s Office in all of the following four (4) disciplines: Swift Water Rescue, High/Low Angle Rope Rescue, Vehicle and Machinery Rescue, and Boat Operations shall receive a premium of three percent (3%) of their base pay, in addition to their scheduled rate of pay.
Employees bid to a designated Urban Technical Rescue Station, who have obtained and maintained technician level certification through the Nevada State Fire Marshal’s Office in all of the following six (6) disciplines: Swift Water Rescue, Structural Collapse Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Trench Rescue, Vehicle and Machinery Rescue, and High/Low Angle Rope Rescue, shall receive a premium of five percent (5%), of their base pay, in addition to their scheduled rate of pay.
An employee working on a US&R Company, or assigned to a US&R Task Force, or is assigned to the US&R Unit and provides US&R training and oversight on a full-time basis, or is assigned to the Heavy Rescue who is certified in Confined Space Rescue Operational, Trench Rescue, Technical Rope Rescue and Rescue Systems and/or courses mandated by the State and/or NFPA 1670, shall receive premium pay of 5.4% of Step 6 of Schedule 2.
Members of the Technical Rescue Team are required to be certified in the following: Confined Space Operation, Rope Rescue Operations, Building Collapse Operations, and Trench Rescue Operations.
An employee working on a US&R Company, or assigned to a US&R Task Force or a Fire Station where a US&R Task Force is assigned, or is assigned to the US&R Unit and provides US&R training and oversight on a full-time basis, who is certified in Confined Space Rescue Operational, Trench Rescue, Technical Rope Rescue and Rescue Systems and/or courses mandated by the State and/or NFPA 1670, shall receive $170.00 biweekly.
The following reflects the percentage increased for each special duty assignment currently established (below premium effective upon signing of contract; until such time, 1%) Rope Rescue Technician – 2% of employee’s base pay SCBA Technician – 2% of employee’s base pay EMS Supply Coordinator – 2% of employee’s base pay The selection process will include a fourteen (14) day posting to allow all interested employees the opportunity to apply.
