Role-Based Access Controls definition
Role-Based Access Controls means documented controls that require that each individual providing Services be assigned one or more roles, and that each role be granted and limited to specific System and data access and administration privileges permitted for individuals in those roles.
Role-Based Access Controls. (RBAC) means User access is setup based on each User’s operational requirements, where System access rights and controls are assigned by the role type

More detail is provided in Appendix 4 (Role-Based Access Controls: an Overview) and Appendix 5 (Information Systems used in GP Practices) all of which use some form of RBAC, except most of those in section 3d “non-clinical.” Information sharing will also take other forms including, for example, written, verbal, data extracts and reports.
The Parties will use the Role-Based Access Controls within their Clinical Information Systems to control access by all members of their staff to the appropriate and necessary information for each task.
Role-Based Access Controls shall be in place to ensure that only authorized Employees have access to any systems that could store or transmit Customer Data.
